A natural gas well off the coast of Louisiana was on fire Wednesday, one day after a blowout forced 44 workers to evacuate. There were no injuries reported.

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement says the mishap at Well A-3 below a "Hercules 265 jack-up rig," about 55 miles off the Louisiana coast, was first reported around 9:45 a.m. ET Tuesday.

The body of a pilot whose helicopter crashed in the Gulf of Mexico has been recovered. The Coast Guard says divers from the vessel Ocean Inspector found the pilot inside the aircraft's cockpit. The helicopter, owned by PHI Inc., crashed yesterday and was used to take people to oil rigs.

A rig worker has pleaded guilty in federal court to ordering his crew to falsify test results on a faulty blow-out preventer in the Gulf of Mexico. It occurred before and after the Deepwater Horizon explosion.
