The triumph of the human spirit looms large in "Walking On Dead Fish," a post-Katrina documentary by filmmaker Franklin Martin.

Its premiere comes at the height of a very active hurricane season and is told through the eyes of a small town football team that turned adversity into victory, uplifting an entire community.

This past weekend, a photography exhibit commemorating the three year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina opened at the New Orleans Museum of Art, across the hall from another Katrina-related exhibit which showcases the artwork of children. This second exhibit, called Coping with Katrina, is a result of NOMA's art therapy initiative.

Mayor Ray Nagin is taking a look at how the city handled Hurricane Gustav, while keeping a close eye on the track of Hurricane Ike.

While people in New Orleans get back to their routines after Hurricane Gustav, some in the Louisiana National Guard have put their own recovery on hold while they pitch in where they're assigned.

Some members of the 141st Field Artillery unit took a break from setting up distribution points for people to pick up food and supplies to speak with WWNO. They had all been in Baghdad when Hurricane Katrina hit.
