The Dallas Cowboys beat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, 38-17.

It was a game described by many on social media as a #dumpsterfire.

The 24-0 halftime score was the biggest Saints deficit since the arrival of Sean Payton as head coach in 2006. It took until the 11:14 mark of the third quarter for the Saints to even get on the board.

Shayne Graham missed a 41-yard field goal.

Drew Brees threw an interception.

Jimmy Graham fumbled the ball, only the fourth fumble of his career.

A Morstead punt-fake went nowhere.

The New Orleans Saints blew out the visiting Dallas Cowboys Sunday night with an offensive steamroller.

The Saints put up 625 yards of offense, and set the NFL record with 40 first downs in a single game. It’s a stark turnabout from recent weeks, when offensive misfires cost the Saints dearly.

Saints Win Out Over Cowboys, 34-31 In Overtime

The New Orleans Saints defeated the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 in overtime Sunday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.

Despite the win, the Saints’ NFC playoff hopes ended when the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Houston Texans.

The Saints seem comfortable in their spoiler role, however, as they dealt a gigantic blow to their neighboring state rivals, dropping the Cowboys’ record to 8-7, a game behind division leader Washington.
