Hornets Score Season-High 107 Points To Defeat Bobcats

The Hornets beat out the Charlotte Bobcats Friday night at the New Orleans Arena, 107-99, led by Anthony Davis, who captured his first regular season double-double (23 points and 11 rebounds).

Both Austin Rivers and Anthony Davis returned to their starting positions last night as they faced off against a Charlotte defense that gives up more points than any other team in the NBA. Davis, drafted this year as the first pick overall, also met up with his former teammate from Kentucky, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who was picked second.

Hornets Drop Stinker To 76ers With Franchise Record-Low 62 Points

The New Orleans Hornets broke a franchise record at the New Orleans Arena Wednesday night, during a dispiriting loss to the visiting Philadelphia 76ers.

Too bad it was the record for fewest points scored in a game.

The 77-62 loss came at the end of a disorganized offensive and defensive effort in a game missing key players on both teams.

The Hornets turned the ball over 20 times, and made just 23 field goals, including four 3-point shots out of 19 attempts.
