The Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts (SYAA) discuss summer workshops.
The Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts (SYAA) will be hostingtheatre workshops throughout the month of July. Each workshop will teach participants basic skills and techniques fortheatrecommunication. Workshops are themed according to eachtheatretechnique being taught.
SYAA Intern Grace Cummings says workshops are open to all children. "We want all the kids to come and join us and have a fun summer." Cummings says.
Walter Allen, Executive Director of SYAA, says participation in these camps will provide experience for upcoming auditions. "We have an amazing season lined up for next year that consists of six different shows. Auditions are set for August 1st and 3rd."
Summer workshops are five days long with a parent showcase on the last day. Workshops are open to children ages 4-18.
