Tulane to reopen Tuesday

Tulane University will be closed Friday, Aug. 31. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Certain essential personnel will be required to work and others may be contacted by their supervisors to report to work. If employees are unclear about whether they should report, they are advised to contact their supervisor.

Individuals who are scheduled to work over the Labor Day weekend should report to work.

On-campus resident students who left before the storm may return on Saturday, Sept. 1.

Power is on throughout the uptown campus with the exception of the front of campus from St. Charles Ave. to Freret St. The downtown campus never lost power during the storm. The Primate Center is on generator power.

Uptown neighborhoods have a lot of debris that our neighbors are quickly cleaning up. Most neighborhoods seem to be without power but there are a lot of Entergy trucks around. The Mayor has lifted the curfew.
