Tune in to WWNO 89.9 FM and WWNO.org tonight at 7 p.m. to hear the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra's historic return to the Orpheum Theater. We're broadcasting the entire concert from the September 17 opening night, featuring Mahler's Symphony No. 2, "Resurrection."
The special program will be hosted by WWNO’s Jack Hopke, and will include Farrar Hudkins’ recent interview with Mary von Kurnatowski, one of the Orpheum's new owners, and LPO Musician Founders Patti Adams and Jim Atwood, giving us the story of this historic restoration and homecoming.
WWNO aims to continue recording LPO concerts and hopes that tonight's broadcast will be a model for future and frequent broadcasts of LPO performances.
