'Tell Me More' To End August 1

Dear WWNO Listeners:

NPR recently shared the news that the network will end production of Tell Me More on August 1, 2014. This was a decision that NPR made for strategic as well as budgetary reasons. WWNO was not involved with this decision.

NPR believes the issues and perspectives that Michel Martin and the Tell Me More show team have brought to public radio should be infused into every aspect of NPR's journalism.

While Tell Me More is ending, Michel is staying with NPR as part of a new editorial team to extend her voice and reach new audiences through live events and across all NPR's news programs and platforms.

We at WWNO have valued bringing this programming to our audience. The show was in important part of our broadcast day, and we appreciate the support which many expressed for Tell Me More.

We will use the time between now and August 1 to decide what programming will replace Tell Me More on our schedule. As always, we appreciate your comments and suggestions about what programming you would like to hear and value the most.

We will continue our commitment to the mission at the heart of Tell Me More, including our coverage of local issues with thought and context.

If you wish to contact NPR to convey your thoughts, feel free to do so via the "Contact Us" option on NPR.org. Your letter will be answered by NPR.

Thank you, again, for listening to and supporting Tell Me More.

Sincerely,
Paul Maassen
