Tech Look Ahead: Apple After Steve Jobs

MELISSA BLOCK, HOST:

From NPR News, this is ALL THINGS CONSIDERED. I'm Melissa Block. And it's time now for All Tech Considered.

(SOUNDBITE OF MUSIC)

BLOCK: First in this week's Look Ahead, how is Apple CEO, Tim Cook, filling the Steve Jobs void? We'll hear from Cook tomorrow when he gives the opening address at a conference in L.A. And NPR's technology correspondent Steve Henn says it will be...

STEVE HENN, BYLINE: One of our first chances to see him in a unstructured environment and see how he responds on the seat.

BLOCK: In an interesting move last week, Cook gave up a bonus, a really big bonus.

HENN: A $75 million bonus. I'm a little obsessed with the figure.

BLOCK: That money is from the company's new dividend payments to employees. And that's our very quick Look Ahead to the week's tech news...

HENN: Seventy-five million dollars.

BLOCK: ...with NPR's Steve Henn. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
