Join WWNO and Jazz Night in America for a Special Event at the Dew Drop Jazz & Social Hall

Leroy Jones.

We want you to join us for a special jazz performance that will be recorded for national broadcast on NPR's Jazz Night in America.

The show takes place on Sunday, February 28, at 6:00 p.m., at the Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall in Old Mandeville, considered the world's oldest, virtually unaltered rural jazz dance hall.

The band that night will be led by the legendary trumpeter Leroy Jones, known to music lovers as the "keeper of the flame" for traditional New Orleans jazz.

Information and photos about the Dew Drop are on their website. You'll see it's an intimate place -- seats are limited, so reach out soon.

Proceeds from this performance will benefit WWNO. Indoor seats are now sold out, but (limited-view) outdoor seats are still available that night for $10; no advance reservations for outdoor seats are needed (if sitting outside, please bring your own lawn chair! There are no outside chairs available). Refreshments will be available for sale.

We hope you can join us on February 28 for this special evening on the Northshore as WWNO and NPR bring jazz to America from the Dew Drop Jazz & Social Hall.
