Join Us Sept. 2 For Culture Collision At The National World War II Museum

Someone once likened Culture Collision to a trade show, but it’s so much more. This year, the annual happy-hour to kick off New Orleans’ vibrant cultural season is slated for Wednesday, September 2, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Culture Collision 7 will take place at The National WWII Museum's U.S. Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, and is free and open to the public.

The one-night-only event features more than 65 local, nonprofit visual and performing arts organizations – all with diverse missions, sizes and passions. Nowhere else in town boasts a collective of the city’s top arts groups, all under one roof, for the ultimate experience of artistic celebration and schmoozing. There’s something for everyone at Culture Collision, from unlimited networking and season announcements to exclusive promotions, free giveaways and pop-up performances by select organizations.

The event also features a huge free drawing, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar with happy hour specials. Paid parking is available in the corner lot at Magazine Street and Andrew Higgins. Street parking and additional, non-museum pay lots are also located throughout the neighborhood.

Founded in 2008 by like-minded arts lovers Jess Brown and Janet Wilson, Culture Collision was created to provide New Orleans’ arts and culture organizations with a collective voice, as well as a platform for collaboration and promotion.

Culture Collision 7 is hosted by WWNO and sponsored by DEVENEY, Dirty Coast, New Orleans & Me and The National WWII Museum. It is organized by a planning committee representing the Arts Council of New Orleans, DEVENEY, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, New Orleans Ballet Association, New Orleans Opera Association, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Southern Rep and WWNO.
