Inside The Arts: Giant Seahorse Heads To CBD, ECLIPSED Opens, Musaica Season Finale

This week on Inside the Arts, a look at St. Kampos. The giant skeletal seahorse becomes the newest addition to the Poydras Corridor Sculpture Exhibition presented by the Helis Foundation. The newly commissioned work by emerging artist Ashley Pridmore celebrates International Sculpture Day. Ashley Pridmore stops by for a chat.

Then, an award-winning play by Black Panther star Danai Gurira opens this week as Southern Rep Theatre presents the regional premiere of ECLIPSED. It is a story of survival by women captives during the Second Liberian Civil War. We talk with director Malika Oyetimein and Southern Rep artistic director Aimee Hayes.

And, Musaica Chamber Ensemble closes its 12th season with Music at Home. It's a Tricentennial program featuring works by award-winning local composers Dave Anderson and Tucker Fuller and a rarely performed Beethoven String Quintet.  Musaica founder Bruce Owen joins us with composer Tucker Fuller.

Airs Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m., Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., and Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
