Inside The Arts: Celebrating George Dureau, José Torres-Tama ALIENS, Clear & Sweet Opens At CAC

This week on Inside the Arts, a celebration of the life and work of acclaimed New Orleans artist and photographer George Dureau.  The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is hosting a panel discussion timed with the release of the Aperture Foundation's book George Dureau, The Photographs.  We talk with the Ogden Museum's Curator of the Collection, Bradley Sumrall.

 
Then, multi-award winning performance artist José  Torres-Tama is back with a remount of his solo performance piece Aliens, Immigrants & Other Evildoers. 
The  sci-fi Latino noir show uses satire to take on immigration issues in this election year.
 
And, we round out with Seattle Dance Company zoe | juniper's Clear & Sweet, a unique performance fusing dance and Sacred Harp Singing at the Contemporary Arts Center.
 
Airs Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
