The "Rose Crystal Tower" was moved from Union Square Park in New York City to City Park by the Helis Foundation.
It's made from a plastic that artist Chihuly used in his 2000 exhibit "Chihuly in the Light of Jerusalem." It's held together with steel. He discovered crystal was too heavy.
An exhibit of new work by Chihuly is planned for spring 2019 at the Arthur Roger Gallery in New Orleans.
