May 7, 2017

This week on All Things New Orleans, we explore the celebration of Cuban culture at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell.  Ariana Hall, co-founder and executive director of the Cuba NOLA Arts Collective, talks about the cultural similarities between Cuba and New Orleans; specifically congas and second lines.

Lazaro Banderas, co-director of Conga Los Hoyos, also joins us to share his experience participating in street parades in Santiago de Cuba.

Then, Jessica Rosgaard checks in with Richard Campanella to talk about his monthly "Cityscapes" column for Nola.com/The Times Picayune.
