Jason Saul is WWNO's Director of Digital Services, a multimedia journalist and a member of the station's corporate media underwriting team, dedicated to fostering partnerships with local businesses in support of their outreach efforts and WWNO’s fundraising goals.

Jason heads up WWNO's sports desk, is the point person for digital initiatives and social media outreach, and is a spot news and features reporter during major events.

Jason, a native of New York (but a long-time resident of the Crescent City), has an extensive background in traditional, digital and social media, and the intersections between them.

Airport to cease operation at end of day

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport will cease operation at the end of today, and remain closed until at least Wednesday, officials said in a press release.

No flights are scheduled for Tuesday, August 28.

Airport officials also reiterated that the facility is not an evacuation shelter, and people will not be permitted to remain in the terminal during the storm. Parking garages are also restricted to ticketed passengers only, and travelers should be prepared to show a printed boarding pass or itinerary in order to enter Airport property.

Huey P. Long Bridge construction projects canceled

All construction projects and closures on the Huey P. Long Bridge have been canceled due to Tropical Storm Isaac, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

Motorists are advised to check local news sites and the City of New Orleans citizen emergency website.

WTUL to go off air for Isaac

WTUL 90.5 FM, Tulane University's student-run radio station, will be going off the air from midnight tonight to 8:00 a.m. Thursday.

The closure is in response to the approach of Tropical Storm Isaac, the station said today on its Twitter feed.

Mandeville issues voluntary evacuation

Mayor Donald Villere of Mandeville has issued a voluntary evacuation of all low-lying areas of the city in advance of Tropical Storm Isaac, according to a statement posted to the city's website.

The city says it expects to be directly affected by Isaac on Tuesday afternoon, with hurricane-force winds and rain increasing through Wednesday.

World War II Museum to close at 2 p.m.

The World War II Museum has reported they will close at 2:00 p.m. today in advance of Tropical Storm Isaac.

The museum anticipates it will reopen at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, and resume normal business hours.
