Donate Stock
Smart investors consider donating stock when they support their favorite non-profit causes. A gift of appreciated securities, either publicly traded or from a private company, may provide greater tax advantages than gifts of cash. (Consult your financial advisor.)
To support New Orleans Public Radio with a stock gift, the donation should be made to the UNO Foundation "for the benefit of WWNO." Donors may transfer stock directly from their own brokerage accounts to the UNO Foundation account described below. Instructions to your broker should specify the name and number of the shares and that the gift to the UNO Foundation is for the benefit of WWNO.
To ensure that your intentions are carried out properly, and that we know whom to thank for the gift, please contact the membership department by phone or e-mail (504 280 7002, membership@wwno.org) to advise us of your gift (name of the stock and number of shares) and to confirm that the gift is intended to benefit WWNO.
It's best to initiate calendar-year-end stock gifts as early in December as possible! If you are making your gift after December 25, please alert the membership department (WWNO) or Jeff Bush (UNO Foundation). See below for their contact details.
