Ricky Graham

A new cabaret show at Mid City Theater, Let's Get Away From It All, stars Amy Alvarez and Jefferson Turner. It is a musical road trip with songs about traveling around America, directed by Ricky Graham.

This week on Inside the Arts, the "Happy Hour" with a purpose: Culture Collision celebrates its 5th Anniversary, kicking off the 2013-14 cultural season. We  journey to the Arts District for conversation with a gallery owner who finds herself giving away the gallery's income. And we round out with a cabaret show that will have you humming tunes from your summer road trip.

Airs Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and Thursdays  at 7:35 a.m.

New Orleans veteran actor Ricky Graham takes on a one woman comedy as Southern Rep Theater presents Willy Russell's one character play - Shirley Valentine.  We go Inside the Arts as Graham morphs into a middle aged housewife who is stuck in a rut and wants to live again.

Performances run thru May 27th at the Contemporary Arts Center, 900 Camp Street.
