Saints Deny Eavesdropping

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans Saints assistant head coach Joe Vitt says allegations that general manager Mickey Loomis had his Superdome booth wired so he could listen to opposing coaches "ludicrous." A joint Louisiana state police and FBI task force began investigating the allegations Tuesday.

Saints Vehemently Denying ESPN Report Alleging Eavesdropping

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Saints are denying an anonymously sourced ESPN report alleging that general manager Mickey Loomis' booth was wired so he could listen to opposing coaches' radio communications during games in the Superdome. The ESPN report says Loomis would have been able to eavesdrop on opponents from 2002 to 2004. The network could not determine if the system was ever used.

Saints' Bye Extends Vitt Suspension to 7 Weeks

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Saints' 2012 regular season bye comes in Week 6, meaning interim head coach Joe Vitt's six-game suspension won't end until after the Saints play at Tampa Bay in Week 7. The Saints open the regular season at home against Washington.
