The New Orleans Hornets have signed guard Terrell Harris to a second 10-day contract, the team reported in a press release Monday afternoon.
Harris was originally signed to the Hornets on March 8 to provide some needed depth at guard, with Eric Gordon limited in play time since returning from a knee injury and Austin Rivers out for the remainder of the season with a broken hand.
Ryan Anderson capped a 20-point performance with a layup as he was fouled with 1.8 seconds left, and the New Orleans Hornets snapped a three-game skid with a 98-96 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.
Anderson also hit a 3 with 15.6 seconds left that gave the Hornets a 95-93 lead, but Portland rookie Damian Lillard reached the 20-point mark for a sixth straight game by draining a 3 with 11.2 seconds left.
Greivis Vasquez, who also had 20 points, then dribbled out of traffic along the perimeter and found Anderson inside for the winning bucket.
Kobe Bryant scored 47 points and the Los Angeles Lakers scored 33 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the New Orleans Hornets 108-102 Wednesday night at the New Orleans Arena.
The Lakers were down by as many as 25 points during Wednesday’s contest, but capitalized on an inexperienced New Orleans team that failed to score a point in the final 6:47 of the game. The Lakers scored 20 unanswered points on their way to victory.
The New Orleans Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers are set to tip off here at the New Orleans Arena at 7 p.m.
Los Angeles is coming into tonight’s game fresh off a 122-105 loss to the Thunder in Oklahoma City last night. The team flew in to New Orleans late last night, and arrived at the Arena at 5:14 p.m. this afternoon.
Lakers Head Coach Mike D’Antoni said arriving the night before won’t have an effect on his team.
