Clippers Beat Hornets 93-77 For 11th Straight Win

Blake Griffin scored 18 points and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the New Orleans Hornets 93-77 on Wednesday night for their franchise record-tying 11th consecutive victory.

Jamal Crawford added 17 points, DeAndre Jordan scored 12, and Chris Paul had 10 points and 12 assists, surpassing 5,000 in his career for the Clippers, whose 19-6 record is tied with New York for second-best in the NBA.

They tied the franchise record set by the 1974-75 Buffalo Bills.

Warriors Hold Off Hornets 103-96

David Lee had 26 points and nine rebounds, Klay Thompson finished with 19 points and the Golden State Warriors brought their surprising road run home with a 103-96 victory over the struggling New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday night.

After going 6-1 on the season's longest road stretch, the Warriors built a 14-point lead in the second quarter and held off the Hornets late. Golden State (17-8) is off to its best start since the 1991-92 season, when the team began 21-8.

Hornets Sign F Dominic McGuire

The New Orleans Hornets have signed forward Dominic McGuire to shore up their frontcourt in the absence of Jason Smith, who is out with a right shoulder injury.

McGuire averaged 2.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in just over 15 minutes per game for the Toronto Raptors earlier this season, appearing in 15 games before he was waived on Nov. 30.

The 6-foot-9 forward, in his sixth NBA season, has also had stints with Washington, Sacramento, Charlotte and Golden State. He's averaged 2.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 331 career games.

Lillard's Last-Second 3-Pointer Lifts Blazers Over Hornets

Rookie Damian Lillard hit a 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds left and the Portland Trail Blazers handed New Orleans its sixth straight loss with a 95-94 victory over the Hornets on Sunday night.

After trailing by as many as 16, Austin Rivers hit a 3-pointer for the Hornets to tie it at 92 with 50.9 seconds left. The Blazers then absorbed a blow when LaMarcus Aldridge suddenly came up limping and headed to the locker room with what appeared to be a left ankle injury, but Lillard came through to give Portland the win.
