It's on! Men vs Women Thursday. And, as of now, the women are in the lead. In the left corner, representing the men: General Manager Paul Maassen. In the right corner, representing the women, Phyllis Jordan!

A pack of our delightful volunteers, from this past Saturday.
Gratitude! That's what we at WWNO feel at the conclusion of our Fall Membership Drive, which took place from Oct. 19-26. With the support of over 1000 donors in the last ten days, not to mention many others who gave to our Lagniappe Fund earlier in October, we have had a very successful Fall Drive. We at the station were struck by the high number of new and returning members and by the many enthusiastic comments that donors made online or on the phones, voicing support for the new schedule of programs on 89.9 and for 24-hour classical music on WWNO2.

"Through NPR, I travel to places I can't usually go. I enjoy the storytelling aspect of radio. Even in interviews, people talk about their experiences and their stories. I feel like NPR allows me to temporarily go to different places and connects me to experiences and events I wouldn't have the knowledge of otherwise."
Our Fall Membership Drive is upon us, and phone bank volunteers are welcome and appreciated. The drive begins Friday, October 19 and runs through Friday, October 26.
