Brad Pitt’s Make It Right rebuilding effort in the 9th Ward was a beacon in the darkness after Hurricane Katrina and is still building houses today.

Brad Pitt took a few minutes with WWNO reporter Eileen Fleming to review the status of the Make it Right project he founded in the Lower Ninth Ward. Before hosting a fundraiser, he spent some time in the neighborhood. Here’s the first of two parts of that interview.

New Orleans’ adopted resident Brad Pitt is in town, hosting a star-studded gala this weekend to benefit the Make it Right housing development taking shape in the Lower Ninth Ward. He took a few minutes this afternoon to speak with WWNO reporter Eileen Fleming in one Make it Right house almost ready for occupancy.
