Warriors Come Out To Play, Beat Pelicans 102-101

The New Orleans Pelicans, down by one point with 22 seconds to go, set up on the visiting Golden State Warriors. Jrue Holiday took it inside, looking for a pull up jumper, and couldn’t find one. He dished it to Eric Gordon on the outside.

1.8 seconds left. Gordon takes the jumper, and his game-winning three-pointer rolls around the inside of the rim… and back out. And the Warriors took home a 102-101 victory.

Warriors Outshoot the Hornets, 116-112

The New Orleans Hornets and Golden State Warriors battled it out at the New Orleans Arena Saturday night in a game that featured nine ties and 18 lead changes, but the Hornets couldn’t stay with the Warriors in the final minutes, losing 116-112.

With only 22 seconds left to play, and trailing 112-110, the Hornets fouled former Hornet Jarrett Jack in a desperation move to get the ball back. Jack made just one of his two free-throws, leaving New Orleans trailing by three.

Warriors Hold Off Hornets 103-96

David Lee had 26 points and nine rebounds, Klay Thompson finished with 19 points and the Golden State Warriors brought their surprising road run home with a 103-96 victory over the struggling New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday night.

After going 6-1 on the season's longest road stretch, the Warriors built a 14-point lead in the second quarter and held off the Hornets late. Golden State (17-8) is off to its best start since the 1991-92 season, when the team began 21-8.

Hornets Win Over Golden State Warriors

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — A goaltending call with 1.5 seconds left in the game is what allowed the New Orleans Hornets to pull out an 83-81 road win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Marco Belinelli scored 23 points, including the game-winning shot, for the Hornets.
