Christmas Boat Parade To Light Up West End

New Orleans and the Gulf Coast have always dressed up for the holiday season, from wreaths and garlands strung on the St. Charles Avenue streetcars to the decorations and lights lining Palafox Blvd. in Pensacola. The Gulf Coast boating community also puts on a show for residents on bayous and bays from Biloxi to Cedar Key and from Fairhope to Punta Gorda as their lighted and decorated boats celebrate their holiday spirit on their wintery home waters.

New Orleans Rappers Reunite For Anti-Violence Benefit

Two veteran New Orleans music powerhouses are teaming up for a benefit concert. On Wednesday, July 3, Mystikal and Master P, two icons of No Limit Records, reunite for a live show they’re hoping will draw adults and teens alike.

Master P, called one of the wealthiest rappers in the world, is performing with fellow New Orleans native Mystikal to raise money for youth-empowerment and anti-crime charities in the city. A quarter of the proceeds will be donated.
