Someone once likened Culture Collision to a trade show, but it’s so much more. This year, the annual happy-hour to kick off New Orleans’ vibrant cultural season is slated for Wednesday, September 2, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Culture Collision 7 will take place at The National WWII Museum's U.S. Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, and is free and open to the public.

This week on Inside the Arts, the "Happy Hour" with a purpose: Culture Collision celebrates its 5th Anniversary, kicking off the 2013-14 cultural season. We  journey to the Arts District for conversation with a gallery owner who finds herself giving away the gallery's income. And we round out with a cabaret show that will have you humming tunes from your summer road trip.

The Advocate took a look at Culture Collision, calling it "a trade show for the arts in New Orleans." The fifth annual Culture Collision is Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Generations Hall. It's free and open to the public.
