Preview: Tomorrow's R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns will face the East Carolina Pirates Saturday at 11 a.m. in the 12th annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

ECU is playing in its first New Orleans Bowl, while ULL is making its second consecutive appearance.

Both teams are familiar with the venue, as ULL defeated San Diego State in a 32-30 thriller in last season’s New Orleans Bowl, and ECU defeated Tulane 28-23 at the Superdome just last month.

Tulane: Devon Walker to Spend Holidays at Home

Tulane says injured safety Devon Walker cannot get around on his own but will be home for the holidays.

A statement released Monday by Tulane says "Devon is not yet mobile" but works daily to get better.

Walker says he's happy to be going home to see family and friends. He says he knows his fight is just beginning, and asks people to pray for his recovery.

Walker's spine was fractured on a tackle Sept. 8 at Tulsa.

He is at an undisclosed rehabilitation facility. New Orleans Saints players and coaches visited him there on Nov. 29, his 22nd birthday.

Oklahoma State seeks rebound from rare blowout

For most of the players on Oklahoma State's team, the feeling of getting blown out in a college football game was unfamiliar until just last week.

The Cowboys (1-1) rode the highs of the best season in the program's history last season, winning the school's first Big 12 championship and a BCS bowl. So, when a road trip to Arizona in Week 2 resulted in a 21-point blowout, it was a brand new experience for most.

After Damning Report, Will NCAA Sanction PSU Football?

Last week's report by former FBI Director Louis Freeh confirmed what many said all along, that the Penn State child sex scandal was the biggest and most damaging in college sports history. Now that the report has been released, the focus is turning to the NCAA and what action it will take, if any.
