Hornets Send Suns To Record 7th Straight Home Loss

Anthony Davis scored 20 points, Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson added 17 apiece and the New Orleans Hornets handed the Phoenix Suns their franchise-record seventh consecutive home loss, 95-92 on Sunday night.

Luis Scola scored 17 for the Suns, losers of a season-worst nine straight overall and 15 of their last 17. Markieff Morris and Jared Dudley scored 15 apiece for Phoenix.

Following Saturday's Final Four match-ups in Atlanta, the stage is set for Monday's NCAA men's basketball championship where overall No. 1-seeded Louisville will face off against Michigan to take home the coveted NCAA title.

This will be the first game between the two teams, who play in different conferences, since 1978.

Vasquez, Anderson Lead Hornets Past Cavaliers

Greivis Vasquez scored 25 points and Ryan Anderson added 23 to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 112-92 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night.

Anthony Davis had 17 points and 10 rebounds, Brian Roberts scored 15 and Eric Gordon 14 for the Hornets, who snapped a two-game losing streak, including a blowout loss to Miami on Friday. Davis' double-double was his 17th, tops among NBA rookies.

Hornets Steamrolled By The Miami Heat 108-89

The New Orleans Hornets were routed by the Miami Heat Friday night at the New Orleans Arena, 108-89.

The Hornets never had a chance. LeBron James devastated their defense early in the first quarter, putting up 15 points in the first period alone. James, the league’s leader in efficiency stats (32.2 EFF), scored 36 points on 65% shooting, and sat the entire fourth quarter.

James fired home a season high seven three pointers, six during a thirteen minute span during which he sank every field goal he attempted and all but one of his free throws.

Hornets Sign Harris for Remainder of Season

The New Orleans Hornets have signed guard Terrel Harris for the remainder of the season, the team reported today in a press release.

The Hornets have struggled with injuries at the guard position as the season has wound down, losing backup guard Austin Rivers to a broken hand a few weeks ago. Guard Eric Gordon has yet to be cleared to play in back-to-back games by team physicians since returning to the lineup from a lingering knee injury.
