At Year's End, Or Anytime, There Are Many Ways To Support New Orleans Public Radio

Tracie Morris Schaefer

At any time of year, contributions from individual listeners and businesses are crucial to the vitality of WWNO, KTLN, NPR and all of public radio. There are numerous ways to give; click on the topics below for more information.

December 31 is the deadline for gifts to qualify for a 2013 tax deduction. Gifts made online with a credit card are eligible through 11:59 p.m. December 31. Gifts made by check and sent via US Mail must be postmarked December 31 under IRS regulations.

Mail your gift to:

WWNO
University of New Orleans
2000 Lakeshore Drive
New Orleans, LA  70148

If needed, these non-profit tax identification numbers apply to WWNO:

UNO Foundation          72-0702000

Questions:  Write or call WWNO’s Development/Marketing Manager:

Thanks for supporting great news, music and cultural programs on public radio!

Ways to Support WWNO

Become a Member now - Individual listeners are WWNO’s largest single source of funding, accounting for more than a third of our annual budget.

Become a Sustaining Member now  – Ongoing monthly donations through secure, automatic charges to your credit card.  No renewal reminders! Less mail!

Underwriting and Program Sponsorships – Public radio’s approach to “advertising.”

Volunteer – Support WWNO with your time, energy and talent.

Corporate Matching Gifts – Many companies have programs that will match your investment in organizations like WWNO. Some companies will even double your investment!

Honor or Memorialize a Friend or Family Member - You can donate a tax-deductible gift to WWNO in memory of, or in honor of, a loved one, friend or colleague.

Donate Your Vehicle – Donate your used car, truck, motor home or boat to WWNO through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program. You receive a tax deduction, and WWNO receives the net proceeds from the sale of your vehicle.

Support Through Your Will- A bequest is a gift, made through your will, that recipients receive after your death, and is one the simplest ways for people to make a substantial, lasting gift to support WWNO in the future.

Name WWNO as a Beneficiary - If you have a life insurance policy, you have named a beneficiary—usually a family member who will receive a payment based on the life insurance policy after your death. Charities, including WWNO, may also be named as beneficiaries!

Donate Stock - A gift of appreciated securities, either publicly traded or from a private company, may provide greater tax advantages than gifts of cash.
