USA Women Win 2015 World Cup

The American team beat Japan 5-2 in Canada on Sunday, winning their first Women’s World Cup since 1999 — a tournament that boosted soccer’s popularity here in the U.S.

Cerli Lloyd scored three goals, a hat trick, in the first 16 minutes of the game. The first player in history to do that in a Women’s World Cup Final. This victory follows a disappointing debut for the U.S. team
