St. Tammany arrests three accused in boat looting
The St. Tammany Sheriff's Office says three young men from Slidell are accused of looting thousands of dollars worth of equipment from boats that were docked near Slidell to make them safer from Hurricane Isaac.
Sgt. George Bonnett says 22-year-old Cody Page, 20-year-old Ryan Dussor and a 17-year-old all were arrested and will be booked with looting, which carries a minimum sentence of three years at hard labor and a $5,000 fine.
The teenager originally was booked with illegal possession of stolen property because he told investigators the others took the GPS units and other items and put them on his boat. Bonnett says investigators now believe that he also participated in the thefts.
