Shreveport waits for Isaac's arrival

The National Weather Service says Tropical Storm Isaac should be a tropical depression by the time it reaches Shreveport.

The weather service is predicting 30 to 40 mph winds will be moving into the area from Toledo Bend to Monroe Wednesday night through Thursday.

Heavy rainfall is expected across north Louisiana, southern Arkansas and extreme east Texas.

The Times reports flash flooding is possible and amounts will range from 1-3 inches across extreme east Texas and northwest Louisiana to as much as 6-8 inches further southeast across east Central Louisiana.
