Secretary Of State: Skip The "Refresh" On Election Results
Secretary of State Tom Schedler is asking people to go easy on the "refresh" button when they're checking election results on his website.
Schedler's office will post Tuesday's results at www.geauxvote.com .
He says that the site has an automatic refresher and too many people trying to repeatedly reload the page can overload his office's computer system and cause crashes.
On Tuesday morning, a spokeswoman for Schedler's office said it fixed a computer glitch that had made it difficult for users to look up their voter information, including their ward and precinct numbers, on the secretary of state's website.
The spokeswoman, Meg Casper, said voters also can get the information by calling a toll-free number (800-883-2805).
