Santorum Faces Missteps in Louisiana Primary
Rick Santorum is leading in Republican presidential polls in Louisiana. But the candidate spent time countering missteps ahead of the Saturday primary.
Santorum is insisting he’ll support the eventual Republican nominee, even if it’s not him. It comes after saying a few days ago that he’d prefer an Obama second term over a Mitt Romney White House, angering many Republicans. And when Santorum fired a semiautomatic pistol at a gun range, a woman supporter shouted, “Pretend it’s Obama.” Santorum says he didn’t hear the woman, and called the statement “absurd.” The Secret Service is investigating.
