The Dallas Cowboys beat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, 38-17.

It was a game described by many on social media as a #dumpsterfire.

The 24-0 halftime score was the biggest Saints deficit since the arrival of Sean Payton as head coach in 2006. It took until the 11:14 mark of the third quarter for the Saints to even get on the board.

Shayne Graham missed a 41-yard field goal.

Drew Brees threw an interception.

Jimmy Graham fumbled the ball, only the fourth fumble of his career.

A Morstead punt-fake went nowhere.

There were a handful of Saints offensive highlights, like a 62-yard run by Khiry Robinson and two touchdowns in the 4th quarter — but it wasn’t nearly enough.

And Rob Ryan’s defense gave up 190 yards in the air and 262 yards on the ground.

Some more scores from around the state: a return to form for powerhouse LSU with a 67-7 win over New Mexico State. Tulane is now 1-4, and Southern University dropped to 2-3 with a 56-16 loss to Alcorn State.

Thomas Morstead had a 0 QB rating:

Saints drives: Punt, Missed FG, Interception, Punt, End of Half, Field Goal, Fumble, TD, TD, Turnover on Downs, Fumble.

The article above has been revised to reflect the following correction:

A revised version of this story's headline originally referred to the Saints' record as 1-2. The Saints have lost three games so far this season.
