New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson will be out for 1-3 weeks with a chip fracture in his toe, the team announced before the season-opener Wednesday.
Anderson suffered a chip fracture in the second toe of his right foot, the team said. Doctors examined Anderson and discovered the problem after he experienced discomfort during practice.
Anderson averaged 16.16 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.12 assists in 81 games last season.
