New Orleans Police will conduct a DWI checkpoint "in the Orleans Parish area" tonight, the Department said in a press release.
The checkpoint will begin at approximately 9 p.m., and conclude around 5 a.m. Friday morning, NOPD spokeswoman Hilal Williams said. Motorists are advised to have proof of insurance and a driver's license if requested, but should experience minimal delays.
“I would like to remind all drivers to always drink responsibly and use a designated driver,” said NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas.
