NPR In The News: Glossy Edition

This edition of NPR In the News features some recent appearances of NPR journalists in the pages of popular magazines. --Outside spoke with Morning Edition host Steve Inskeep about the Revolutionary Road Trip series. For the series, Steve and his team are driving from Tunisia to Libya and on to Cairo to see how the countries that staged revolutions last year are remaking themselves as they write new social rules, rebuild their economies and establish new political systems.

-- In O magazine, legal correspondent Nina Totenberg is one of 17 accomplished women and men the magazine asked to write a letter of advice to their younger, 25-year-old selves. Shirley MacLaine, Whoopi Goldberg, Michael J. Fox and Katie Couric are among others sharing what experience has taught them.

-- Glamour asked All Things Considered host Audie Cornish to contribute to its Working Girl: The Assistant Diaries feature. Audie shares some thoughts on how to make the most of an entry-level position, along with CNN's Erin Burett, President of HBO Entertaiment Sue Naegle and Mandana Dayani, vice president of Rachel Zoe Inc. and a regular on The Rachel Zoe Project.
