The New Orleans Saints Will Play Their First Home Game Tonight

Paul Broussard

The New Orleans Saints will roll into the Superdome Friday evening for their first home game since December 29.

However, it’s just a preseason game, which is little more than a glorified practice session. There is not much on the line, other than some jockeying at the edges of the roster.

Drew Brees will almost certainly remain out, nursing a strained oblique — which are the muscles on the side of the body — so look for more backup QB competition between Luke McCown and Ryan Griffin.

The Saints will face off against a Tennessee Titans squad, who pulled off a win in their first preseason game over the Green Bay Packers. It was a sloppy affair in nearly three inches of rain.

Friday night's game kicks off at 7 p.m. Find real-time updates of this and every game on Twitter: @jasonmsaul and @WWNO.
