New Chancellor for Central La. Community College

Rodney Ellis has been named chancellor of Central Louisiana Technical Community College.

The Town Talk reports that Ellis will take over his new job next month. He currently serves as executive vice president at Atlanta (Ga.) Technical College.

CLTCC is in the early stages of a transition into a full-service technical and community college.

Ellis was approved for the job Friday by a vote of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors. He said building support from the community at large, the business community and staff and students at CLTCC is critical in achieving a successful transition.
