Memorial Planned for Sandy Hook Victims

A memorial service is planned Saturday at Riverdale High School for victims of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

Jefferson Parish school officials say a willow tree will be planted at the school in ceremonies set for 11 a.m.

Student sentiments about the tragedy, written down on paper, will be attached to green and white balloons and released into the air. The colors are those of Sandy Hook Elementary.
