Krewe of Zeus Cancels Parade?
By Jason Saul
WWL-TV has reported that the Krewe of Zeus has canceled its Lundi Gras parade.
However, krewe officials are denying canceling the parade, according to The Times-Picayune. Jefferson Parish Carnival coordinator Sean Burke also says the parish hasn't heard anything regarding the cancelation.
The television station said the Metairie parade will now roll as part of the Krewe of Hera, the parade immediately preceding.
Hera is scheduled to roll at 6:30 p.m. on Lundi Gras. Zeus traditionally rolls right after, at 7:00 p.m.
Zeus is Metairie's oldest parade.
