Jesus Figure Stolen From Houma Nativity Scene
Authorities say thieves stole some of the City of Houma's Christmas decorations, including a figure of the infant Jesus.
Ann Picou, the Terrebonne Parish downtown development coordinator, tells The Courier the infant figure disappeared from the manger scene near the Houma courthouse soon after Thanksgiving.
Picou said the parish had already spent its decorations budget on new lights to replace some of the aging ones, so there wasn't money to buy another babe in swaddling clothes.
