LUNA Fête Global Rainbow by Yvette Mattern"

This week on Inside the Arts, a rainbow will transform the night sky as the Arts Council's LUNA Fête 2016 kicks off this week.  Arts Council president Nick Stillman joins us.

Then, Uptown the Symphony Chorus of New Orleans presents a musical celebration of Hanukkah, with a rare performance of Handel's oratorio, Judas Maccabaeus.  Symphony Chorus music director Steven Edwards stops by for a chat.

And, we round out with Notes of a Native Song, opening at the Contemporary Arts Center.  It is a blues-rock song cycle celebrating writer and activist James Baldwin, featuring STEW and the Negro Problem.  We catch up with singer-songwriter STEW by phone.

Update: Due to a construction-related water leak, the CAC has canceled the Friday performance of Notes of a Native Song and relocated the Saturday performance to the Ogden.

Airs Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
