ICYMI: Saints Drop Final Preseason Game To The Dolphins In Miami, 24-21

After more than a month of training camp and exhibition games, the Saints are finally just about ready for the regular season.

They wrapped up the preseason last night in Miami, and now they’ve got some tough choices to make.

The team must pare its roster down to 53 players by Saturday evening, and the front office will have to show many young and promising players the door.

The race among this year’s crop of talented receivers has been the team’s most entertaining preseason job competition.

Nick Toon and rookie Kenny Stills have undoubtedly secured final roster spots, but the jury is still out on a slew of other players, including longtime Saints special teams contributor Courtney Roby.

Running back Khiry Robinson did his best to make a late impression on the Saints’ coaching staff. Robinson had over a hundred yards from scrimmage, but he also fumbled twice.

The Saints open the regular season in the Superdome next Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
