Edwin Edwards Getting Reality TV Show

Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards will be sharing his life after prison in a new cable-TV reality show. It will feature his extended family.

The former Democratic governor was in his fourth term in office when he was convicted of federal corruption charges. It was while he was behind bars that he began corresponding with Trina, who became his third wife.

The show, called “The Governor’s Wife,’ is capturing life with the 85-year-old Edwards and his 34-year-old spouse. His extended family includes his 62-year-old daughter and two teenage stepsons. Edwards is known for his charisma as much as his checkered past.

The show is set to debut Feb. 7 on the A&E network.
