The Deficit: Who Cares (And Who Cared) And Why It Matters Now

The pandemic is showing no signs of slowing down. The U.S. Congress is attempting to pass a stimulus plan to aid Americans whose personal finances have been hit hardest by the pandemic. Aid, however, could mean the national deficit continues to rise.

And that has some politicians and analysts worried about the future consequences of whatever plan Washington puts forth to try and help American businesses and employees.

And this is also President-elect Joe Biden’s problem. He’s is in the middle of making his selections for cabinet and cabinet-level positions, many of which will have to work to try and salvage an economy ravaged by COVID-19.
