By Eileen Fleming

New Orleans, La. – A magnitude 8-point-8 earthquake devastated the South American country on February 27th. President Sebastian Pinera met with officials at the port of New Orleans for long-term advice.
Mayor Ray Nagin advised the government to quickly funnel money to local agencies, and get sturdy modular housing for temporary shelter. He said it could take as long as 15 years to fully recover.
Pinera is in Washington for a summit on nuclear weapons and energy technology.
