New Orleans, La. – Cafe Reconcile will be moving up in its five-story building, as well as starting new construction next door.
Cafe Executive Director Sister Mary Lou Specha explains.
Cafe founder Craig Cuccia says the program will also return its construction training.
The Youth Workforce Development Program has graduated over 400 men and women between the ages of 16 and 24. Sister Mary Lou says the expansion means at least 10 more students can join the ten now enrolled in the nine-week catering program, and the program itself will branch into hospital catering and corporate events. A family literacy project and entrepreneur program for women- and minority-owned businesses are also in the works. The expansion should be completed by September next year.
