Bellwether Technology to Sponsor “Wednesday at the Square” for 3rd Year in a Row

Bellwether Technology, a New Orleans-based IT consulting firm, has announced it will be a supporting sponsor of the 2013 YLC Wednesday at the Square concert series for the third year in a row. The popular twelve-week concert series runs every Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m., from March through the end of May, and features some of the most well-known musical acts from across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.

Bellwether is also a sponsor of 89.9 WWNO, and provides the station's 128kbps streaming audio service.

“We are proud to once again be one of the main sponsors of the Wednesday at the Square concerts,” said Bellwether vice president Steven Ellis. “Not only is this a fantastic event to attend, but it is also great to know that we’re supporting a superb organization like the YLC.”

The free concert series is a fundraiser for the Young Leadership Council, a non-profit organization based in New Orleans, and features dozens of food and artist vendors from the region. Last year’s concert series included musical performances from Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Theresa Andersson, Jeremy Davenport and Big Sam’s Funky Nation.

The annual concert series takes place in Lafayette Square in the New Orleans Central Business District. The concerts attract an average of 6,000 people per week according to the YLC’s website. More information is available at www.wednesdayatthesquare.com.
